Ponseti Method for Idiopathic Clubfoot & New Method of Cast Correction for Vertical Talus Deformity

Description: This one-day tutorial will focus on the Ponseti management of clubfoot deformity as well as a new casting method for congenital vertical talus. There will be an early morning didactic session with an emphasis on bracing options for both deformities as well pearls for managing difficult clubfeet (e.g. complex idiopathic, syndromic, and neuromuscular). The participants will then observe in a pediatric foot deformity clinic demonstrating the casting procedures for both vertical talus and clubfoot. There will be a tendoachilles tenotomy performed in the clinic as well. In the afternoon there will be a hands on session with bone models and casting models for both vertical talus and clubfoot.
